The Auction is Now Over.
Thanks to all who bid.
Welcome to the Canadian Branch’s auction of rare and vintage Ricardian items. Fifty per cent of everything raised will go to support the Ricardian Churches Restoration Fund. The other half will support the Canadian Branch.
These treasures came from Ann Harris, a long time Ricardian, and Anne and Bill Buyers who started our Branch in 1966. Thanks too, to Ray Rawlings who donated the plaque of Anne Neville.
*All winners of the first part have been notified, Please check your email!
This is how it works
1. Choose a bidding name & register.
To keep bidding anonymous and to allow us to track everyone’s bid, please fill out the sheet . Even if you are using your real name, you MUST fill in the registration sheet. (We already have one bidder whose bids won’t count as they didn’t register.)
Remember what name you have chosen (it could even be your own!) as you will use it every time you bid. You will get an email detailing what you put on the form, so no need to worry if you do forget. Make it as unusual as possible so that we don’t have more than one person using the same name. Add your middle initial, your favourite number, a symbol, etc. Avoid obvious words like Bosworth or York.
2. Bidding Form.
Each item listed below goes to a Google Form with information and pictures of that item.
* To get to that form, click the description of the item immediately under the picture below.
The form is also where you bid. Be sure to use your bidding name, not your real one unless you chose to use that as your bidding name. There are guidelines for the bidding which may change from item to item, such as the starting bid. You will also see the link to the bids on that item so far. Be sure to bid more than the last person!
Please note, we are amateurs here. If you make a bid that is less than it should be, there will be no automated notification. It is up to you to keep track.
3. Acknowledgement of your bid will also have a link back to this page so you can bid on something else.
4. You are bidding in Canadian Dollars.
There are many websites that will convert Canadian dollars to your currency, so you can get an idea of the exchange rate.
5. Shipping is not included.
We won’t have any idea how much something will cost to ship until we know where we are mailing it. Everything except the Bosworth Plate is shipping from Canada. Once the auction has concluded we will let you know the price, but do be aware that postal costs are going up everywhere. If it is too much, you will have the option to withdraw and the next person will become the winning bidder.
